McFadyen The Message of the Parables is another standard work on the NT parables. Note that this work is seen from a “teacher’s view point” with the first three chapters on Jesus’ use of parables as a teaching method, and another chapter on the parable as an allegory, another on interpetation of parables.
Baylee The Mysteries of the Kingdom is a series of 12 chapters on the Kingdom Parables.
This work concentrates on just Jesus’ Kingdom parables, 10 of them. These are the Sower, the Tares, the Mustard Seed, Leaven, Hidden treasure, the Pearl, the Net, and the householder.
This work by Lang is a very detailed study of just a few parables: The Sower, the Mustard Seed and the Leaven, the Hid Treasure and the Pearl of Great Price, the Ten Virgins, the Talents, the Good Samaritan, the Barren Fig-Tree, the Unjust Steward, the Unprofitable Servants, the Friend at Midnight and the Unjust Judge (Importunate Widow), the Pharisee and the Publican, the Progidal Son, and the Lost Sheep.
This work is a treatment of the Parables and other types of illustrative material in the Old Testament, by Alfred Barry, Lord Bishop of Sydney, and Primate of Australia and Tasmania.
