Advice to Young Men is a 15 chapter work of advice to young men by Arthur. Arthur is not really a religious author per se, but his works do reflect a moral standard of the Bible.

Machen, J.G. – Brief Bible History Survey
Brief Bible History Survey is a historical survey of the Old Testament and the New Testament. It is very brief in its treatment. Although Machen does not go very deeply into the text, it is an excellent overview of the Bible from a historical point of view.
Adams, N. – The Sable Cloud
This 10 volume work by Adams (Congregationalist) is a culturally dated book, being the views of Northern Christians examined by Adams (a Southerner in the North-South dynamic conflict of the earlier years of the United States). The issue most central of this work is slavery and Christianity. It may be less useful than other books except to historians.
Bellett, J.G. – The Profit of the Study of Dispensational Truth
This is an eight chapter work on the value of studying dispensational truth by Bellett (Brethren).
Abbott, J.S.C. – The Child at Home
In this 7 chapter work, Abbott (Congregationalist) looks at responsibility, deception, obedience, religious truth, piety, and traits of character.
