Baier, J. – Compendium of Positive Theology

The Baier/Walther Compendium of Positive Theology served as the systematic theology textbook for the first few generations of Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod pastors. Written in Latin, it is a revised edition of a classic work by the Seventeenth Century Lutheran dogmatian Johannes Baier. This edition contains an english translation of the theses at the head of each chapter. Later editions will offer the full text of the work.

Miller-Evidence from Scripture & History of Second Coming of Christ

This is a collection of lectures by William Miller (1782-1849), a 19th century preacher who managed to convince himself and thousands of others that Jesus would return in 1844. Born a Baptist, he became a Deist and Freemason. After he fought in the war of 1812, he had a spiritual epiphany, and was called back to Baptism. After much study, Miller became convinced that Biblical chronology pointed to the immiment end of the world, and in 1832, was confident enough to publicize his beliefs.

Bullinger, E.W. – Ten Sermons on the Second Advent

In this 11 chapter work by Bullinger (Brethren, HyperDispensationalist), he presents us with 10 sermons on the second advent, including the importance of prophetic study, the interpretation of prophecy, premillennism, the calling and hope of the church, the church’s motive for service, the second advent for the Jew, for the Gentile, the resurrection of the just and unjust, and the judgment of the quick and the dead.
